Cruise North Expeditions
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Founded in 2005, Cruise North provides a refreshingly unique alternative within the expedition cruise industry. Owned and operated by and for the Inuit of the region we visit, the company is an investment in protecting the past, and at the same time, preparing for the future. Our top priorities are cultural preservation, community investment and environmental commitment in the Canadian Arctic regions with a strong emphasis on Inuit culture and wildlife. The ship and its crew spend five days or so at the end of the every year involved in an Arctic clean-up project

Our expeditions are friendly, casual, and above all, authentic. We invite you to join us for a truly unique experience with our vessel, Lyubov Orlova. There is no formality onboard -- the friendly, often folksy, atmosphere ensures the most enjoyable setting for you. Once ashore, you will be brought to visit Inuit communities, hike over small towns and catch local wildlife in action. In the Arctic, nobody gets you closer.

Itineraries

Cruise North brings you a remarkable, up-close experience with a still-remote and untouched part of the world -- one that most other cruisers don't even know can be reached. There are five itineraries in the Canadian Arctic, ranging from 8 to 12 nights and taking place from July to September. With the destinations starting as far south as Newfoundland and reaching beyond the Arctic Circle, what you see will vary significantly by itinerary. Southern itineraries tend to be favourites of the expedition staff, as they offer the largest variety of wildlife. However, northern itineraries usually sell out more quickly, due to the abundance of ice and dramatic remote scenery.
